Spend a great day outside enjoying nature and hunting for the perfect pumpkin. Campers will enjoy the taste of a campfire cooked lunch, while enjoying the friends, the songs, the stories, and of course the yummy s'mores. Campers will decorate their pumpkins to take home for Halloween.

YWCA Schools Out Corn Maze and Apple Orchard Day Camp

Navigate your way through a 7 acre corn maze full of turns, twists, and dead ends carved into stalks that reach over your head. Use the giant bouncing pillow to see above the corn. Campers will also participate in a variety of fun activities on the farm like apple picking and relaxing on an old fashioned wagon ride.

Strike your way to success! No experience is necessary. Campers learn the basics of bowling, good sportsmanship and team ethics. YWCA instructors and bowling staff provide instruction. Campers will have the chance to complete many different challenges and bowl a couple of games. Equipment and shoes are provided. Don't forget your socks.

YWCA Schools Out Canoe and Kayak Day Camp

Designed for the beginning paddler, the campers receive an introduction to canoeing. The instructors demonstrate paddling strokes and techniques, rescue skills, and boating safety. Kids will enjoy tubing fun at Great Bear. After an exhilarating ride down the hill, a surface handle tow will take you back to the top for another run down one of the four, 80 foot vertical tube runs.

YWCA Girls Volleyball Leagues

The Girls' League is open to girls in 4th-8th grades. Teams in each league will be formed according to grade and school attending (when possible). There are 3 leagues; 4th & 5th, 6th, and 7th- 8th. Early sign-up is beneficial.
Practice: One evening per week at various locations, Sept. 20- Dec. 10. Parents will receive practice information via email or in the mail. No practices will be scheduled the week of Nov. 22-25.
Games: Each Sat. between 1 & 5 p.m. starting Oct. 2 and ending Dec. 11.
Cost: $75/ member or $ 85/ non-member. Volleyball t-shirt is included in fee.
Scholarships are available. Ask for details at YWCA front desk.
Deadline: Registration form and fee are due by Sept. 6. A $15 late fee will be charged for registrations after the deadline.
