Higher Hoops Winter League From: 2/6/2010 8:30AM To 3/13/2010 12:30PM Status: Completed A developmental basketball league offered to boys and girls who are in K to 4th grades. The cost is $50 per child and the price includes a shirt with your child's name, 5 great weeks of basketball skills and games, and a medal and awards ceremony! Your child will participate at 8:30am, 10:30am, or 12:30pm every Saturday. Each session is 1 1/2 hours long. Sessions consist of 50% lesson and skill development, and 50% playing an actual game. In addition, there will be a 10 minute devotional each week. Higher Hoops will be conducted indoors on reduced size carpeted courts. Guaranteed registration is available on-line, or you may mail your registration with payment and it will be processed as soon as possible. Who - This event is for children grades K - 4th. What - Higher Hoops is a basketball camp for children who would like to learn more about basketball in a non-competitive format. When - Saturdays at 8:30, 10:30, or 12:30 Where - NHFC - 2201 W Old Yankton Cir. (1 block west of 57th & Western) Why - * To have fun while learning and growing in social and physical skills * To help children get a good start at learning the fundamentals of basketball. * To teach children of the love of Jesus Christ and how important they are to Him. * To help people who don't have a church home to connect with a church. * To have fun! What: YWCA Summer Care Program Our Summer Program is packed with fun, creative, adventurous activities, field trips and classes for school-age youth from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. WHO: The program is open to any child who has completed kindergarten through 5th grade. WHEN: The YWCA Avera Summer Care Program for school-age youth will begin on Wednesday, May 19th. The program will run through the entire summer for 13 consecutive weeks — through August 16th.(Sioux Falls Public Schools are scheduled to begin on August 17th.) YWCA Childcare Registration From: 3/1/2010 6:00AM To 8/1/2010 6:00PM Status: Completed The downtown YWCA Childcare is currently accepting registrations for Infants,Toddlers, Four and Five year olds. In the Infant Program, caregivers respect and maintain each baby’s individual schedule, interact sensitively and provide independent and one-on-one playtime. The infants are held during bottle feeding. In the Toddler, Two, Three, Four and Five-year old programs, rooms are equipped to meet the developmental needs of each age level. Opportunities are provided to promote large and small muscle development as well as cognitive, social and emotional development. The Frog Street curriculum provides age appropriate materials for creative art, music, language, math, science and dramatic play. Children are guided according to their individual development and learning. A full day program includes breakfast, structured activities, gross motor activities, lunch, rest time, afternoon snack and organized free play activities.
